As some of you know, i rode about 400 miles last weekend. Apparently I was carry a few extra pounds of weight, not only on my body but also in my air filter.
A mouse had been camping in my bike for at least the past winter. I can’t wait to get out today [...]

There are some things nobody needs in this world, and a bright-red, hunch-back, warp-speed 900cc cafe racer is one of them – but I want one anyway, and on some days I actually believe I need one. That is why they are dangerous.

So, Red Sonja, the temporary name for my new-to-me Honda VFR (see ‘She Arrives Tomorrow‘) showed up yesterday. (temporary until I get the rhino liner sprayed on). I pick up the plates today. And the weather for the next seven days?
Thunderstorms!
It has been heavenly of late in the dear old Hudson Valley. Truly spectacular. [...]

Tomorrow, my new-to-me 1999 Honda VFR800 Interceptor arrives. I haven’t owned a bike since my 1997 Triumph Trophy 900 was impounded in the UK back in 2004 (that’s a long story).
I’m very psyched. This is probably more bike than I need, but it’s likely the best all arounder out there. I looked [...]
